Board Your Yacht

Fly directly into Grenada (GND) Maurice Bishop International Airport, located in the capital city of St. George’s. You can meet your yacht here or take a ferry from Grenada to various islands in the Grenadines. There are ferry services available that operate between Grenada and popular destinations like Carriacou, Union Island, and St. Vincent. These ferries offer a scenic and enjoyable way to travel between the islands. We recommend taking a ferry to St. Vincent, and sailing your way back down to Grenada for the true island-hopping experience.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit the Grenadines is generally during the dry season, which runs from December to May. This period offers pleasant weather with lower chances of rain and a lower risk of tropical storms or hurricanes. However, many yachts from the Virgin Islands make their way down to the Grenadines to get out of the “hurricane belt” June-August and stay until late October. So if you plan ahead, we can arrange to have one of the US/BVI based yachts meet you in the Grenadines July-October! Interested in a down-island sailing adventure? Let’s chat 😉 we love planning.

Itinerary

Day One

St. Vincent (Blue Lagoon Marina) to Bequia (9NM) – Depart from St. Vincent’s Blue Lagoon Marina and sail to Bequia, a charming island with a vibrant maritime heritage. Explore the picturesque town of Port Elizabeth, stroll along the Belmont Walkway, and enjoy the local cuisine and nightlife. Feeling adventurous? Rent a 4 wheeler in town and explore the island!

Day Two

Sail from Bequia to the exclusive island of Mustique (8NM) – known for its luxurious resorts and pristine beaches. Your captain will need to make a reservation to stay in its beautiful bay beforehand. Discover the island’s beauty by visiting Macaroni Beach, snorkeling in Britannia Bay, and exploring the charming village. You can plan to make a stay at this amazing resort as part of a longer down-island itinerary!

Day Three

Cruise from Mustique to Mayreau (17NM): The smallest inhabited island in the Grenadines, offering stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. Visit Salt Whistle Bay, a picturesque anchorage, and hike up the hill to experience panoramic vistas of the surrounding islands!! If you’re feeling a bit of a longer walk and a super local experience, hike down to Robert Righteous bar (local secrets ;)!

Day Four

Mayreau to Tobago Cays (4NM): Sail to the Tobago Cays Marine Park, a protected area renowned for its exceptional snorkeling and diving opportunities. Explore the vibrant coral reefs, swim with sea turtles, and relax on the pristine beaches of Petit Bateau and Baradal. Want to enjoy a super local meal and fun experience? Have your captain take you to Aphonso’s Lobster BBQ!

Day Five

Cruise from Tobago Cays to Union Island (6NM): Here you can anchor in a protected bay and enjoy your yacht and watersports. Take a short tender ride to Sandy Island, a small secluded islet with crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. The little bar on this island is sure to stick in your grenadines memory. The locals here are INCREDIBLY friendly and excited to meet new people! On windy days it’s protected enough to still enjoy a flat anchorage, but windy enough to enjoy kiteboarders paradise! Sunset cocktails, a perfect caribbean breeze, your loved ones, and a show. What more could you ask for!

Day Six

Sail from Union Island to Carriacou (15NM): a laid-back island known for its unspoiled nature and friendly atmosphere. Enjoy the secluded beaches, hike to the top of High North Peak for breathtaking views, or immerse yourself in the local culture. Choose to rent a car and explore this unique and beautiful island, with plenty of island-y bars to see along the way. Nothing like a “road-soda” with the windows down on a perfect Caribbean day.

Day Seven

Depart Carriacou and sail south to Grenada (40NM): known as the “Spice Isle” for its aromatic spices and lush landscapes. Explore St. George’s, the capital city, visit the historic Fort George, stroll along the colorful Carenage, and savor the local cuisine. Go visit West Indies Beer Company in the mountains for a cool brewery experience.
