Start off your week of adventure down the Exuma chain with a stop at Rose Island, just to the East of Nassau. After a swim with the local wild pigs, enjoy a sundowner cocktail at Sandy Toes beach bar.

Continue South 46 miles to Shroud Cay. A relaxation filled morning at sea acclimating to life on a yacht. Arrive in time for a late lunch. Afterwards, jump in for a swim and try out all the yacht’s water toys. Enjoy a paddle or just float in bliss.

On the way to Little Bells Cay stop for a snorkel over a smuggler plane wreck at O’Brian’s Cay. There is also an incredible spot known as The Aquarium, with kaleidoscope shoals of fish floating past everywhere you look.

Staniel Cay provides the backdrop for an adventure packed day. Start with a swim to the Thunderball Grotto. This fantastic underwater cave system is great for snorkeling and is teeming with exotic marine life. The grotto’s mystique is heightened by the small, almost hidden entrance. Next up, pay a visit to our local friends at Pig Beach, and finish the day with a cocktail at Staniel Cay Yacht Club.

Waderick Wells is home of the 176-square-mile Exuma Cays Land and Sea National Park. Created in 1958, it was the first land and sea park in the world and is one of the most successful marine parks. This is where you will find the nearly complete whale skeleton on the beach. Photo op!

Journey back up North to the island of Norman Cay where Pablo Escobar’s WWII era drug smuggling plane wrecked only feet away from it’s destined landing strip. A runway rummored to have been built by Escobar himself. The plane wreck lies 10 feet below the surface and is now an artificial reef and home to an array of sealife.

Swing through Allen Cay after breakfast to snorkel for the only underwater currency accepted worldwide, the sanddollar. Stop by iguana island for a walk with a different type of wild four legged local. Journey back up to Rose Island for one more Bahamian sundowner with your toes in the sand.
